Business process management system(BPMS) is a 9-step measurement-based approach to managing and improving a set of activities that can be described as a process.

The BPMS team is organized around the process, with clear process goals, roles and performance expectations. It is often required to assign a "Process Owner" who will be responsible for overseeing all the work to deploy and to manage the process.
